We are excited to announce that speaker applications for NZGDC 2026 are now open! This year, we invite passionate creators, innovative thinkers, and inspiring educators to join us in shaping the future of game development in Aotearoa.

Our theme for NZGDC 2026 is: Shaping Our World. This theme celebrates our shared responsibility as creators, acknowledging that the worlds we build reflect our values, choices, and communities. It’s about collaboration, intentional creation, and embracing the human, imperfect process of making worlds that matter. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and fresh voices to inspire meaningful change and innovation in our industry.

We’re looking for speakers who:

• Are new to NZGDC or haven’t presented with us before 

• Offer re-imagined topics and innovative ideas 

• Bring fresh perspectives that challenge the status quo 

• Deliver practical sessions with clear outcomes and takeaways

Whether you’re a seasoned expert or an emerging voice, we want to hear your story. Share your insights on new technologies, creative processes, inclusive design, community engagement, or any topic that either aligns with our theme or speaks to a current, relevant issue, problem or solution.
